Today my good buddies Brett Blankner — the man behind the Zen & The Art of Triathlon Podcast — and Morgan Christian  — of Metabender tracking & Real Time Athlete — stop by the garage to talk shop on all things endurance, multisport & balancing life against training & racing.

This one is fun & relaxed people.  These guys are a blast — I hope my fondness for them comes through your earbuds.

I hope you enjoy the show!

SHOW NOTES

FINDING ULTRA NOW IN PAPERBACK

Finding Ultra* recently hit bookstores and online retailers in paperback.  And it’s cheap –  just $12.45 on Amazon* last time I checked.  What the heck, right?  That’s like a one cold pressed juice at Whole Foods; and will hopefully be even a bit more nourishing.  Check it out.  Already read it? Then tell a friend.

Thanks for listening!

As always, thank you for all the ongoing support.  You guys are everything.

Rich Roll & ZenTri are my 2 favorite podcasts. I’ve tried others, but haven’t found anything else yet that is as inspiring / motivational and yet so DOWN TO EARTH and not hard selling anything (I understand people have to make a living, but I also want to feel they are not selling out and being genuine). Though I do plan to take Bret’s advise on this episode about finding a good Zen podcast. Can you recommend any in particular? Perhaps I should post that question on the ZenTri website!

Thanks again Rich, for all that you do! (I am really hoping that you can recover the data with the Dr Gregor interview!!!!!)

just found this “List of Great Zen Podcasts” on the Zentri website! http://www.zentriathlon.com/home/2011/1/20/list-of-great-zen-podcasts.html How convenient.

Thanks Lisa! I would ask Brett about Zen podcasts directly. as for the Dr. Greger episode, it’s locked inside a broken drive at the moment – looking at a ton of money to fix. I’ll get it done but it’s going to take some time. Cheers, r

Another awesome podcast. The array of guests provide such well rounded insight into so many things. Its really pretty mind opening to listen to all these perspectives.

Rich, I think its time in the near future for another podcast with just you and Julie. Even though those were the first ones you released, I actually just got around to them and they are super interesting.

And any chance Comptom Rom takes a break from the laser beams and mushroom extract to make his podcast debut anytime soon?

RRP#39 will not download from iTunes for me. Anyone else having an issue with this one podcast?

  • richroll66 says:

hmm weird not sure what the issue is – maybe try quitting itunes and re-opening? i had to switch the file out as the levels were off and replaced it with a better version, but it should load fine – please let me know.

  • richroll66 says:

    working on it!

Still wont download to my computer. It will play from within iTunes but not download so I can put it on my iPod. Oh well. I will just listen to this one while I work in the office. Thanks for all you do Rich.

Thank you, Rich! This was so inspiring. It made me contemplate starting a podcast, and training for a triathlon, and studying Zen. What a great interview. You asked the right questions to allow Brett to open up and tell his own story in a really meaningful way.
