New Year’s Resolutions Don’t Work

By January 31, 2016No Comments

Goals are great. But far more important are the countless small actions you undertake consistently and daily. Focus on the inside work and being consistently consistent. The outside will take care of itself.

For 2016 I made a decision to make at least one new movie a week. As you will see from how overexposed this video is, I really don’t know what I’m doing. I’m not a filmmaker. I’m not an editor. YouTube scares me. I am making this commitment because it’s important to get comfortable being uncomfortable.

Thank you Casey Neistat for the very obvious creative inspiration. In fact, I think this video is trying way too hard to (very poorly) mimic his vibe and thus is embarrassingly lacking in uniqueness. Forgive me Casey — I hope you are not offended. In time I will find my own way.

In 2016 I’m putting a lot of effort into building my presence on YouTube. So if you enjoyed this offering, do me a solid — subscribe to my channel and I promise my movies will continue to get better.

Happy New Year!
